5 essentials before moving in

5 essentials before moving in

That is THE article you’re waiting for. Summer is over, school is starting and it is finally the time for you to MOVE IN. How stressful !

Don’t worry, Simply is here to give you 5 essentials before moving in.

The Must Have : a NYOLEM lifestyle

If you still haven’t read our article about the NYOLEM method, we strongly advice you to check it our in order to adopt a healthier and more steady lifestyle. As students, it is important to take care of yourself. Do it so !

1 - Cleaning items

Nothing is more upsetting than a dirty appartment. You deserve to feel comfy in your flat as soon as you enter it. However, sometimes the former tenant might have left without cleaning the place. Cleaning items are then necessary in order to make the place more livable.

2 - Apart from the NYOLEM challenge, go to IKEA and buy multisockets before moving in

That’s random isn’t it ? Believe it, you will want to plug in all your devices, multi sockets are essential when you move in. You will thank us later ;)

3 - Electricity

Obviously a must have ! To know more about how to get electricity in France, go check our article. No more eating in the dark and reading books because there is no WIFi.

4 - Another essential before moving in: your name on your P.O bow

Once again, this is not necessarily something that is on top of your mind. However, this is the kind of administrative tasks you forget about. In order to put your name on your P.O box, you can either ask your real estate agency to do it for you -but it has to be paid- or you can simply write it on a Post-it that you’ll tape on your P.O box.

5 - Pictures

Obviously, because personalizing your place is KEY, you should bring pictures of your beloved ones. In France, a famous website prints your pictures into the formats you want: CHEERZ. You have lots of discounts for students, we recommend you to go there.

Simply yours,
